1. Product Introduction
The rock wool pressure testing machine is mainly used for compressive strength testing of composite insulation materials such as rock wool products, extruded boards, polystyrene boards, and insulation boards. 3. Testing Process
Sample Preparation
Size Requirements: Sample size is (200±1)mm × (200±1)mm. If the width of the rock wool strip is less than 200mm, use a square with the width of the rock wool strip as the side length, and the thickness is the original thickness of the sample.
Quantity: Prepare 5 samples.
Environmental Requirements: Condition in an environment of (23±5)℃ for at least 24 hours.
Testing Steps
1. Measure Dimensions: Measure sample dimensions according to ISO29768.
2. Place Sample: Position the sample at the center of the two compression plates of the testing machine.
3. Pre-loading: Apply a pressure of (250±10)Pa. If specified by the relevant product standard and the sample shows significant deformation under 250Pa pre-pressure, apply a 50Pa pre-pressure. In this case, thickness d must be measured under the same pressure.
4. Compression Operation: Compress the sample at a constant speed of 0.1d/min (within ±25%, where d is the sample thickness in mm). Continue compression until the sample yields to obtain the compressive strength value. If no yield occurs at 10% deformation, record the compressive stress at that point.
5. Data Recording: Plot the load-displacement curve.
